The Implementation of scientific research project in An Giang province

Institute for Environment and Resources has been assigned by the Department of Science and Technology to carry out a provincial research project entitled "STUDY ON DEVELOPMENT THE GREEN ECONOMY / SUSTAINABLE ECONOMY ASSOCIATED WITH ECOLOGICAL ENVIRONMENT AT THE RURAL RESIDENTIAL AREAS/CLUSTERS IN AN GIANG PROVINCE IN RESPONSE TO CLIMATE CHANGE CONDITIONS ", chaired by Prof. Dr. Le Thanh Hai and Tran Van Thanh as the scientific secretary

* Overall objectives:

Propose and develop the models of green development on the basis of sustainable livelihoods that are associated with the characteristics of rural environmental ecosystems, for increasing the income, maintaining health and environmental sanitation with responding to different natural and weather conditions, towards to sustainable development for households in rural areas /clusters in An Giang province.

* The specific objectives:

- Assess of the status of natural ecological conditions, natural resources and environment, and livelihood activities of people in households in rural areas/clusters in the study area.

- Propose the models and solutions for green growth and sustainable livelihoods associated with appropriate environmental resources for sustainable development in residential areas and the typical agriculture, fisheries products in An Giang province in response to climate change.

- Set up 03 demonstration models to apply ecological and environmental models to sustainable livelihoods and rural green growth corresponding to three ecological zones in the province.

- Develop and implement the training programs and the solutions for transfer technology to ocal people

The implementation period is 18 months from 1/2018 to 6/2019.
