This center was formly a part of the Polytechnic University in Ho Chi Minh City but became a founding member of the IER in 1996. The center has been contributed significantly to the development of the IER in the last 10 years, and it is presently dedicated to transferring environmental treatment technologies to the business sector in Ho Chi Minh city and in the southern region of Vietnam.

Researching, designing and applying treatment technologies for water, wastewater, solid waste, hazardous waste, air pollution and noise as well as the ventilation and air conditioning technology.
Scientific and Technological Services: Environmental impact assessment, environmental parameters analyzing, consulting and establishing environmental protection projects, technology transferring in the field of water, wastewater, exhauste fumes and noise, technical training and environment information.
